A day in the life of Ben, The Jolly Hog On The Trot General Manager

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF… Ben, The General Manager @ The Jolly Hog On The Trot in Bath Spa ? “Work for me starts at around 6am. I get there an hour before the kiosk opens to set up and get all the hot baps prepped ready for a busy breakfast service. The lovely smells of bacon & sausages help wake me up! We open the shutter around 7 am and another member of the team joins me to help serve the morning rush (plus fill the morning with endless chat and coffees) Our fresh bread deliveries arrive around 9 am and we get prepping the fresh sandwiches which we make daily. We taste test a few of them for quality control of course ? By around 11am the station tends to get a little quieter so I can get through my admin tasks and catch up with invoices. Another team member joins me again at 1pm to take over front of house, serving up sarnies with a smile whilst I prep any items we’re running low on. For the last hour of my shift I like to have a handover with my staff, letting them know what needs doing in the afternoon, and have a general tidy up. Then it hits 3pm! Before you know it my day is done. All ready for another day in porky paradise in the morning.” Find out more about The Jolly Hog On The Trot, our Bath Spa Station food kiosk serving up our premium British sausages and bacon in baps, toasties & sarnies: https://thejollyhog.com/find-us/on-the-trot/
