After 12 years, The Jolly Hog is leaving the Twickenham Stoop Line Up. The Stoop was the birthplace of The Jolly Hog, and a place that we will always hold close in our hearts. With Olly playing here for 8 years, Quins giving us our first ever pitch to sell sausages – and helped us grow- the history of the hog will forever be intertwined with Harlequins. Without the club, we would not be where we are today, a long way from that first day of trade for an autumn international in the car park. Mark Evans (CEO) gave us a leg up, allowing us our first day of trade EVER, welcoming us and our really average sign that we cut out of plywood on a ban saw in Dads workshop. When we set up in their car park with a cheap gazebo and our auntie Fran, Tom and mum helping us. Lots of people have been helpful to us since starting our business none more so that the team at Quins. Over lockdown our business has evolved and changed, like many other businesses who have had to adapt, so as we’re turning our attention more from events to the supermarket shelves, we’ll be leaving Quins. Although we will no longer be there permanently, we will always feel a part of the club, and will be sure to get back at Quins in some capacity with Miss piggy as soon as we can. They will always hold a massive place in our hearts (maybe even as massive as sausages do!)
