JOLLY GOOD DEEDS

Helping to fight food insecurity by committing to provide 2% of turnover through donations, partnerships, and feeding people directly. We aim to help alleviate the financial burden on families by providing them access to delicious, high-quality food.

Throughout the year we have been working with local schools to deliver food boxes to selected families around the city of Bristol. Once a month, the team come together bright and early to hand pack boxes of our product. We then split up and deliver these out around the city of Bristol.

The initiative reflects our commitment to giving back, as part of our wider pledge to donate 2% of annual turnover and volunteer 2% of our workforce time to community efforts annually.

We can’t wait to continue and grow this in 2025.”

Scotch Eggs for Jolly Good Eggs
From every one of our Scotch Egg sold, we donate 5p, through the official charity for North Bristol NHS to Southmead Hospital Charity. Which means every time you are tucking into our gooey Scotch Eggs, you can give yourself a pat on the back for being a Jolly Good Egg and helping fund the NHS.
50K Free Meals For The NHS
Every week during the national lockdowns, we took our beloved airstream Miss Piggy down to Southmead Hospital to hand out free hot meals to the staff there. After a year there, we had donated 50,000 free meals with the help of our amazing team, friends, family and some amazing volunteers. We continue to head down to Southmead each Christmas to feed the staff.
Tackling Food Poverty in Bristol
We’ve been working with Square Food Foundation since March 2020, an amazing charity that works to reduce hunger and bring people together through food and cooking. From donating stock to our whole team volunteering to pack meal boxes and teach cookery classes to local children, working with Square Food has been a pleasure.
Running for the NHS!
After feeding the NHS 50k free meals during the pandemic, we wanted to continue supporting our local Bristol NHS. Since 2020, 3 of our The Jolly Hog team have ran the London Marathon to raise money for Southmead Hospital Charity, raising thousands of pounds to support our amazing local hospital in the process.
Marking International Womens Day
For International Womens Day in 2023 we wanted to do something more. Missing Link is an amazing mental health and housing service, for women in Bristol, providing housing and support for women with acute or long term mental health issues that put their housing at risk, or have resulted in homelessness. We teamed up with Missing Link to donate our sausages to some of the lovely women that they support. Here’s our Events Manager, Emily, spreading the jolliness dropping our sausages to these women.
122 days of volunteering
Between October 2023 and September 2024, our team got stuck into the things that matter, volunteering for local charities and organisations, focused on food waste and food equality. From packing free meal kits for families who need them, to teaching C.V. skills to young adults breaking into the restaurant industry, to assisting in cooking classes for adults with special needs, and now, our most recent endeavour working with schools to deliver boxes of our product to families in Bristol. Our team have been busy spreading the jolliness with food in anyway they can, spending 122 days of the year volunteering!
Jolly Good Feedback

Throughout the year we have been working with local schools to deliver food boxes to selected families around the city of Bristol.
Once a month, the team come together to our yard, bright and early usually greeted with a delicious breakfast from Olly. we move on to hand packing boxes of our product. We then split up and deliver these out around the city.

These are some of the kind words that have been fed back to us since we started the initiative. We couldn’t be more grateful to have the platform to do this.
