BBQ recipes – BBQ potato recipe

This BBQ loaded potato skins recipe is one of our favourite easy BBQ recipes. We love a good loaded jacket potato skins recipe and this one is no exception. Using our peppery Proper Porker British Sausages, combined with the chopped chilli, gives this BBQ potato recipe a lovely kick, taking sweet potatoes to the next level. This is a great sausage meat recipe when you want to try new BBQ sausage recipes with a twist!



  • Start this BBQ loaded potato skins by putting your potatoes in foil to cook for a bit on the BBQ. Cook them until they’re softening. You can speed this up by chucking them in the oven for a bit (or a pizza oven will cook them even quicker if you have one!)
  • At the same time, take our British sausages and squeeze the sausage meat out of them into a skillet pan (or a foil tray if you don’t have a BBQ safe skillet). Use a spatula to crumble our British sausage meat in the pan and cook until crispy for juicy and crispy BBQ sausages.
  • Once the potatoes have softened, chop them in half then scoop out the potato filling.
  • Add the filling to a bowl then add in grated cheese, chopped chives, salt, pepper and a tbsp of Belazu green chilli if you like a little kick.
  • ​Fill back in the BBQed potatoes with the BBQ potato mixture then top with the crumbled crispy sausage meat, a dollop of sour cream and some pink pickled onions. Tuck in!
